Fractions come in three flavors:

     1. Proper: they are less than 1  (numerator < denominator). example: 3/4

     2. InProper: they are greater than 1 (numerator > denominator). example: 4/3

     3. Mixed: they are composed of an integer and a fractional part. example: 2  3/4
